Faster, Leaner, Greener: The Nation's Largest Tax Resolution Law Firm Goes Paperless
North Highlands, CA (PRWEB) January 18, 2009 -- The nation's largest tax resolution law firm has developed and implemented a paperless client enrollment system.
"For the last eighteen years, we've been doing our client analyses and enrollments on paper. We've used paper for all client enrollments and we've been transferring this paperwork from one department to another," says founder Roni Deutch. "If you add that up over 18 years of practice, that's a lot of paper, time, and energy."
Roni Deutch asked her clients and her employees where they saw room for improvement and the answers came loud and clear: clients want faster service and employees want a smoother client enrollment system. "When the economy slows down, that's the time to look at your internal processes and see where the waste is. A big flashing red light for us was the sheer quantity of paper generated by our client enrollment system," Ms. Deutch adds.
The firm's in-house Information Technology department developed the proprietary client enrollment system and began a phased implementation in December 2008. Beginning on January 1, 2009, the firm's client enrollment process went paperless. "We're a large firm, but since we're all located in one building we are still nimble enough to do new things without a lot of pushback. We all recognized what a huge step this was for us," states Managing Attorney, Justin Hein. "The new paperless system is greener, faster, and easier for every department to find what they need, all without the risk of lost paperwork at every step."
"While paperless systems in some industries are old news," posits Mr. Hein, " law firms are often slow to change or are lacking in resources to make these types of changes. Our ongoing dedication to technological innovation and advancement continues to serve us well."
